Overview CAE is one of the largest independent providers of aviation services. The CAE Safety Training department is part of CAE Center Amsterdam and provides safety training for flight and cabin crewmembers. The focus of our training is to adequately train crewmembers in accordance with the operator's requirements and the legal requirements and recommendations for the safe operation of the aircraft.

Training Courses Training courses consist of classroom instruction (including power point presentations and video presentations) and may include the use of a cabin mock-up, a door trainer, an actual fire & smoke trainer and other representative training devices and equipment. Checking is included in the program where required.

Course Development The CAE Safety Training department has expertise in designing and developing safety training courses. The training course and program is conducted by suitably qualified instructors and we ensure the course and program are:

Tailored to the Operation Manual and the client needs Realistic and representative to the use of the actual aircraft or required equipment
Course Location Training can be delivered in-house at client location worldwide or at the CAE Safety Training department (which provides all the facilities and training equipment required for your training) located at:

Training Devices The following training devices are available at CAE Center Amsterdam B.V.:

Real Fire Fighting Trainer (RFFT)
Realistic and practical fire fighting and smoke handling training can be conducted in the RFFT. Real fire and/or simulated smoke can be ignited in the following training elements which are characteristic to an aircraft interior:

Lavatory waste bin Luggage bin Passenger seat Cabin floor Galley oven Waste bin trolley Open fire Real Fire Fighting Trainer An alternative halon extinguishing agent is used to extinguish fires.
Donning and use of PBE is conducted with a Dräger PBE training device.

Real Cabin Door Trainer (RCDT)
The RCDT is a realistic Boeing 737-800 model which consists of:

24 cabin seats Double AFT facing crew seat including cabin crew panel Cabin lights and emergency lights Evacuation signal Main entry door Over-wing emergency exit Real Fire Fighting Trainer Actual operation of the Boeing 737-800 doors and exits can be conducted in the RCDT as well as emergency training including crowd control and evacuation techniques.

Emergency evacuation slide trainer
The Boeing 737-800 slide trainer can be used for emergency evacuation slide training.
