CAE SimuFlite's scholarship program was created to promote business aviation as a career to young aviators. 2008 marks the program’s 22st consecutive year, with scholarships awarded through the University Aviation Association (UAA), Women in Aviation International (WAI), Association of Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM), and Organization of Black Airline Pilots (OBAP). Scholarships include training at CAE SimuFlite's Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, training center.

2008 Scholarship Winners

UAA

Four pilot training scholarships were available through the University Aviation Association, an alliance of more than 100 accredited colleges and universities. CAE SimuFlite is very pleased to name the 2008 Citation Type Rating scholarship recipients:
Andrew Pelc - University of North Dakota
Nicholas Green - Kansas State University
Eric Meyer - University of Central Missouri
Jon Joseph - Southern Illinois University

WAI

CAE SimuFlite granted a Citation training scholarship through Women in Aviation International. An initial pilot training scholarship was awarded to Torea Rodriquez, Sunnyvale, California. Upon successful completion of training, she will receive a Citation type rating.

AWAM


Irma Medina-Mazon of Tucson, AZ, received a maintenance training scholarship. She will receive a maintenance certificate upon successful completion of training. For further information:

OBAP

CAE SimuFlite, through the Organization of Black Airline Pilots (OBAP), will award a Citation type rating training scholarship.

The scholarship was established to enhance, advance and promote educational opportunities in aviation, motivate youth to become educationally prepared for life, and to increase minority participation in aviation through exposure, training, mentoring, and scholarships.
