CAE receives a Coup de cœur honourable mention from Centraide. As part of the 2008 campaign, Centraide awarded CAE a Coup de cœur mention in the “Employee Campaign—1,000+ employees” category for the excellence of the campaign. In recognition of CAE’s efforts, the Centraide’s jury awarded CAE the mention because they found the campaign inspiring. As in previous years, CAE Montreal and its employees made generous contributions by deploying efforts in several areas to collect a total amount of $622,292–the best to date. |

CAE wins Centraide's Solidaires award. For the third consecutive year, Centraide of Greater Montreal presented CAE with its Solidaires award for the quality of its workplace campaign. Centraide is an organization that funds many charities within the community and, as in the past, CAE Montreal and its employees donated generously, exceeding our objective by more than $45,000. Of the over $596,146 total, employees raised $481,146 through a sumo wrestling competition, a Halloween costume contest, early bird draws, and a variety of other events.

CAE 5000 Series wins GOOD DESIGN award in the Transportation category, awarded by the Chicago Athenaeum (Museum of Architecture and Design) and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. GOOD DESIGN bestows international recognition upon designers and manufacturers for advancing new and innovative product concepts and for stretching the envelope beyond what is considered standard product and consumer design.

CAE receives Magazine Commerce – Korn/Ferry Prize for healthy governance practices. CAE is a 2007 co-recipient of the prize within the large enterprise category. The prize is given in recognition of the best corporate governance practices cultivated by the Board of Directors and management of a company headquartered in Quebec. The CAE Board of Directors was congratulated for its balance, diversity and for the team spirit of its members. CAE was also applauded for the positive turn it has made over the past five years, which made it possible to restructure and modernize the company and its corporate governance practices.

CAE receives Go Green Plus certification from BOMA Quebec. The award recognized the environmental management of our Saint-Laurent building. Go Green Plus is a national recognition program that measures the environmental performance of commercial buildings and allows them to improve their energy consumption, operation costs and waste management. This prestigious certification is awarded by BOMA Quebec to firms that are leaders in ecological building management. CAE is one of the 10 firms in Quebec to receive this certification in 2007.

CAE awarded Export prize by Quebec Industrial Research Association (ADRIQ). The award, which acknowledges industrial innovation, recognized how our strong global strategy has boosted our position internationally, contributing to our commercial success. The ADRIQ also recognized our outstanding accomplishments abroad, as well as at our manufacturing plants and training centres located on five continents.

CAE Australia wins Engineering Excellence award. CAE’s Tactical Training Capability Upgrade (TTCU) project was recently named as a regional finalist at Australia’s 2007 Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA). The awards recognize outstanding achievements and commitment to excellence within the Australian engineering industry. The TTCU project was one of three finalists for the Sydney region in the “Welfare, Health, Safety, Education and Training” category.

CAE wins Outstanding Supplier Award from Boeing. The Boeing Company recently recognized CAE USA with its Outstanding Supplier Award at Boeing's fifth annual Supplier Conference held in
St. Louis, Missouri. CAE was recognized for outstanding responsiveness and support during development of new business opportunities as well for execution of ongoing efforts. In August, CAE was awarded a subcontract from Boeing to begin design and development of upgrades and new training devices for the U.S. Air Force C-130 Avionics Modernization Program (AMP). CAE has also supported Boeing in pursuing other new business opportunities.

CAE wins Mercuriades Award. CAE has won the prestigious Mercuriades Award. The Mercuriades Competition is organized by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) and recognizes Quebec companies with the talent, vision and know-how in several categories. CAE won the Markets Outside Quebec category which primarily refers to business with growth or expanded volume in sales outside Quebec. Some of the eligible activities in this category include: exports of products or services, investments, acquisitions or implementation of distribution centres or production units outside Quebec.

CAE wins Centraide's Solidaires award. CAE was presented with a Centraide of Greater Montreal's Solidaires award. CAE was recognized in the Employee Campaign - 1,000 employees plus category for the quality of its workplace campaign. Campaign elements considered were: the campaign committee, training of canvassers, person-to-person canvassing, promotion of payroll giving, growth in results, and invitation of a spokesperson from a Centraide supported agency. CAE presented Centraide with a cheque for $423,000 to help those in need in the Greater Montreal area.

CAE receives the Lachance-Morin award. CAE's Health and Safety Committee received the 2006 Lachance-Morin award given annually by the Association Sectorielle Paritaire's (ASP), section for the manufacture of metal and electrical products, to the company that has shown the best improvement in the area of prevention. This award recognizes CAE's joint (management and union) commitment in the area of accident prevention.

CAE Australia is number one. Australian Defence Magazine honoured CAE Australia with an award that acknowledged the Company as the Number One Defence, Small to Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) for the Year 2005. In addition, the magazine named the Management and Support of ADF Aerospace Simulators (MSAAS) contract, awarded to CAE Australia in November 2005, as a runner-up for Defence Project of the Year 2005 Award (SME). The award was judged on the basis of overall project management strategy, schedule performance, risk management, performance against budget and defence/contractor relationship.

CAE wins the IR Global Ranking. The winners of the 2006 IR Global Rankings have been announced and, within North America, CAE was named top 1 winner in the category of Best Earnings Release and Disclosure Process (Small/Mid Cap), and top 1 winner in the category of Best Earnings Release and Disclosure Process per Industry, for the Technology industry.

Defence Helicopter magazine presented its Integrator of the Year 2005 award to CAE USA for its Common Environment / Common Database (CE/CDB), a mission planning and rehearsal tool destined to have a long-term impact on U.S. Special Operations readiness. As a result of CAE’s work on this project, highly detailed, up-to-the-minute geo-referenced databases replicating the world outside can be swiftly and accurately downloaded to the simulator visuals of Special Forces helicopter pilots and crews. This will make outcomes more certain, assuring the safety of the people involved.

CAE is ranked #1 by the Canadian Defence Review magazine in its listing of Canada's Top 20 Defence companies. According to the magazine, "CAE is a clear winner because of the company's solid commitment to defence mission readiness using home-grown, Canadian technology and a large Canadian workforce places it in position of undisputed international importance in its field of simulation, training and support services."

Centraide of Greater Montreal awarded CAE its Solidaires Award in recognition of its successful Leadership Giving Campaign. CAE had 62 leaders, who, in total, donated close to $88,000. Overall, CAE donated $380,000 to Centraide. The amount consisted of a $280,000 donation on behalf of CAE employees, as well as a corporate donation of $100,000.

CAE won the Frost & Sullivan Technology Award for 2004. This award is presented each year to the company that has demonstrated excellence in new products and technologies within their industry. In presenting the award to CAE, Frost & Sullivan wrote that it "recognized the innovation behind CAE Simfinity™'s fully integrated training solution as well as the flexibility that it provides users and trainers. CAE Simfinity™ provides an outstanding PC-based software training package (from desktop products to 3-D trainers). It uses high-fidelity simulation software that was developed for CAE's full-flight simulators but has been adapted to be accessed over the Internet. This combination of high-fidelity software and access flexibility allows for drastic cost reductions while conserving the high quality of training expected from CAE."

CAE and Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (the "AH-64A Apache Combat Mission Simulator Upgrade Team") officially received the 2003 M&S Industry Award for training awarded jointly by the United States Department of Defense, Defense Modeling and Simulation Office, and National Training Systems Association. Fulfilling an urgent U.S. Army requirement in Iraq, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems and CAE incorporated a critical "Brown-Out" training capability on an Apache CMS on a quick response basis, significantly improving pilot combat preparedness.

The award is given every two years for outstanding achievement in a specific area of aviation and aerospace. Embry-Riddle is the world's largest fully accredited university specializing in aviation and aerospace.

CAE was awarded the Canada Awards for Excellence Quality Award. The awards, given out annually to Canadian companies, recognized CAE for its commitment to quality, customer focus and business process improvement.

Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, one of Canada's leading business associations, awards CAE the Canadian Innovation Award for Process Efficiencies for reducing the manufacturing assembly time of a full-flight simulator from 32 weeks to 14 and for creating a new production line. It now takes nine weeks to manufacture an Airbus full flight simulator.

Three performance measures were used for this ranking: productivity, asset utilization and financial health.

CAE wins Bronze in Annual Report Awards. For three years in a row, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the National Post have recognized CAE in the High Tech category for the quality of its annual report.

CAE is awarded the Frost & Sullivan's Company of the Year Award for 2001 as well as the Market Engineering Leadership Award in the visual simulation market. Frost & Sullivan, an international market research and consulting firm in San Jose, California, says "CAE has simultaneously built a whole new line of businesses in providing aviation training services, and this is poised to make it a global leader in that segment of the market." The Marked Engineering Leadership Award recognizes CAE for its product development and strategic acquisitions.

CAE South America Flight Training (CSAT) is honoured under the Brazil 500 Years award for its initiative and new vision in aviation training, developing the pilot training market in Latin America, creating new jobs and saving time and money for airlines and their pilots. The award principally recognizes those individuals and companies who have contributed to the development of science and technology, have integrated culture with the business environment, and have enhanced the well being of the community and Brazilian society in general.

CAE wins the Governor's Award for excellence in the field of flight training technology, presented at the Interservice/industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (ITSEC) in Orlando, Florida. CAE's work putting into operation the first and largest Private Finance Initiative (PFI) in the U.K., with the Medium Support Helicopter Aircrew Training Facility (MSHATF) training program at RAF Benson, was cited for the award. At RAF Benson the CAE team provides a complete training centre operation, including pilot instruction. CAE's training centre is credited with being on the leading edge of changing the way training is conducted in the U.K., setting the standard for many Ministry of Defence programs which are now following its lead.

| CAE is recognized by American Airlines as both a platinum supplier and the best-in-class supplier in 2000. The Supplier Excellence program rates American Airlines' more than 3,000 suppliers on cost, quality, schedule and responsiveness, and performs formal assessments of its suppliers using Malcolm Baldridge award criteria. Seventeen suppliers (including CAE) were considered platinum suppliers for demonstrated excellent performance, and CAE won the coveted "best-in-class" supplier award. |
