


Jeff Roberts was appointed Group President, Civil Simulation Products, Training and Services in April 2009. In this position, Mr. Roberts leads CAE’s two civil segments – Simulation Products and Training and Services.
Mr. Roberts had led CAE’s civil training and services business for the past seven years and enabled it to grow into a world-leading position by more than doubling CAE’s training locations and installed fleet of simulators as well as introducing innovative solutions to improve CAE’s civil customers’ safety and efficiency.
Mr. Roberts joined CAE in 2002 as Executive Vice President of the civil aviation training group. His role was expanded in 2004 to Group President of CAE’s civil training and services business where he was responsible for all civil training and services around the world, including training for pilots, maintenance technicians and cabin crew as well as services such as pilot provisioning – including CAE’s Global Academy. As part of his mandate, Mr. Roberts also focused on growing a company-wide group that is devoted to innovation in order to identify opportunities for CAE to leverage its expertise and leading-edge technologies in adjacent markets, such as healthcare.
Mr. Roberts has nearly 20 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Prior to joining CAE, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Dallas-based SimuFlite Training International, which was acquired by CAE in 2002 and is now CAE SimuFlite. An experienced pilot and training officer, Mr. Roberts brought to CAE a broad and deep understanding of the aviation training business, having previously fulfilled a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in operations management, sales, marketing, business development and general management over the past two decades.
A graduate of the University of Colorado, Mr. Roberts is a Director of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association and a Trustee of the United States Aerobatic Foundation.
