Transport Medicine involves delivering specialized medical care in a mobile environment using airplanes, helicopters and land ambulances. It is one of the most complex areas of medicine, in which highly-trained paramedics and nurses provide specialized care for critically ill or injured patients outside the traditional bricks and mortar of a hospital.
The CAE / Ornge Academy of Transport Medicine (the Academy) provides comprehensive accredited educational programs that will prepare you to work as an elite aeromedical professional in transport medicine. The current programs are suited to a variety of levels of practitioners and several are accredited by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA). The Academy also offers a Continuing Education program.
