ASTARS

CAE USA has been the prime contractor for the Army Special Operations Forces Aviation Training and Rehearsal Systems (ASTARS) program. Under this program, CAE has designed and delivered a range of training and mission rehearsal systems for the 160th Special Operation Aviation Regiment (Airborne), also known as the Nightstalkers. As part of the ASTARS program, CAE has delivered the following:

• A/MH-6 Little Bird combat mission simulator.
• MH-47G Chinook combat mission simulator.
• MH-60L-DAP Black Hawk combat mission simulator.
• Design, development and implementation of the common environment/common database (CE/CDB).
• MH-47G and MH-60L desktop trainers.
• Upgrade of MH-47E and MH060K combat mission simulators with CAE Medallion visual systems.
