The rear crew trainer can be operated in standalone mode, or can be networked to a full-mission simulator for a comprehensive mission training solution. Operator and sensor stations in the rear crew trainer are modelled as part of a high-fidelity tactical environment. Note that different militaries around the world use various names for a rear-crew trainer. Some of these include operational mission simulator, operational tactics trainer, or weapons tactics trainer. CAE has designed and manufactured a range of rear crew trainers for military customers. Recent examples include a P-3C operational tactics trainer for the German Navy, AW101 RCT for the Italian Navy, and MH-60S/R weapons tactics trainers for the US Navy. Rear Crew Trainer

A rear crew trainer (RCT) replicates the back-end tactical stations of a military aircraft, providing tactical and sensor crews with high-fidelity mission training. The rear crew trainer can be operated in standalone mode, or can be networked to a full-mission simulator for a comprehensive mission training solution. Operator and sensor stations in the rear crew trainer are modelled as part of a high-fidelity tactical environment.
