UAS Mission Training Solutions
CAE’s high-fidelity uninhabited aerial system (UAS) mission training solution is an integrated solution that provides a complete synthetic environment to support UAS mission training, mission planning, and mission crew management as well as research and analysis. CAE’s UAS mission training solution optimizes operational readiness while minimizing the use of live assets to train and prepare the integrated mission team for operations. The training solution prepares the integrated mission team (the pilot, payload specialist, and commanding officer) on equipment operating procedures, data interpretation and analysis, and team interaction.
CAE’s UAS mission training solution includes a complete UAS ground control station (GCS), a mission management station (MMS), and a comprehensive suite of simulated payloads. The CAE UAS mission training solution is reconfigurable to any UAS and can be connected directly to the operational UAS GCS, which in turn can be switched to control either a real air vehicle in the actual mission space or a simulated air vehicle in a synthetic mission space. Using the operational GCS provides operators with a consistent interface for both training and operations.Key features of CAE’s UAS mission training solution include:
- Low cost, low risk approach to UAS training, evaluation, and testing
- Cost-effective, high-fidelity sensor suite (including imaging, radar, electronic warfare, countermeasures, signal intelligence, and effectors)
- Mission management station to create and manage exercises
- Modularity allowing UAS features and payloads to be added, modified, or replaced as required
- Reconfigurable to any vehicle and payload package
- Open architecture that uses off-the-shelf components and industry standards
- Designed for STANAG 4586 compliance allowing the operator to switch between real and synthetic environments
