Public safety organizations and emergency services are under constant pressure to provide high quality service to the community, while at the same time they are facing the strains of increasing operating costs, decreasing resources, and political pressure. CAE is working with local response organizations to support planning, training, and operations using simulation-based tools to validate response strategies and resource planning for better resource utilization.
The EM-Sim approach
CAE has applied its EM-Sim approach to develop a series of tools for emergency services. Based on the business rules and processes of the organization, CAE integrates simulation-based tools with predictive analysis modelling applications to conduct what if and course of action analysis. In the communications centre, dispatch personnel are able to visually anticipate the impact of their deployment decisions prior to redeploying teams using CAE Deploy. As well, CAE Envision allows management teams to conduct what-if scenario analysis for funding, acquisition, and policy decisions.
