CAE adds new avionics lab for business aviation training

NBAA, Orlando, U.SA., October 7, 2008 – (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) – CAE has enhanced its pilot initial training program for business aircraft operators with the recent addition of a new state-of-the-art avionics lab at CAE’s training centre in Dallas, Texas.

The new lab provides a hands-on training approach with avionics equipment that reflects that of an actual aircraft. This enables clients to immediately put into practice theory they’ve learned in the lab at the same time that they receive their ground school training, creating an interactive and real-time training experience. Lab time will be implemented into the standard footprint of all initial training programs for all platforms offered at the centre within the twelve months to follow.

“The addition of this new avionics lab represents a continuing effort on our part to meet the requirements of our clients,” said Jeff Roberts, CAE’s Group President, Innovation and Civil Training and Services. “This new resource enhances our pilot training program and is another example of CAE’s commitment to provide the highest quality and technologically-advanced training to our customers.”
