Aviation Training Scholarships





CAE SimuFlite's scholarship program was created to promote business aviation as a career to young aviators. 2007 marks the program’s 21st consecutive year, with scholarships awarded through the University Aviation Association (UAA), Women in Aviation International (WAI), Association of Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM), and Organization of Black Airline Pilots (OBAP). Scholarships include training at CAE SimuFlite's Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, training center.

2007 Scholarship Winners

UAA

Four pilot training scholarships were available through the University Aviation Association, an alliance of more than 100 accredited colleges and universities. CAE SimuFlite is very pleased to name the 2007 Citation Type Rating scholarship recipients:
Garett Jerde, University of North Dakota
Matthew Gierstorf, Southern Illinois University
Shaun Gerber, Purdue University
Stephanie Wagner, Metropolitan State College of Denver

WAI

CAE SimuFlite granted a Citation training scholarship through Women in Aviation International. An initial pilot training scholarship was awarded to Amanda Spangler, Independence, KS. Upon successful completion of training, she will receive a Citation type rating.

AWAM

Timothy Elder, Corydon, IN, received a maintenance training scholarship. He will receive a maintenance certificate upon successful completion of training. For further information:

OBAP

CAE SimuFlite, through the Organization of Black Airline Pilots (OBAP), will award a Citation type rating training scholarship.

The scholarship was established to enhance, advance and promote educational opportunities in aviation, motivate youth to become educationally prepared for life, and to increase minority participation in aviation through exposure, training, mentoring, and scholarships.
