Civil Training and Services
With over 115 full-flight simulators in 24 aviation training centres worldwide, CAE serves approximately 3,500 airlines, aircraft operators and manufacturers across the globe. We offer customized training services for pilots and maintenance technicians ranging from integrated programs to deployable ground school capabilities and e-learning solutions. We have teamed with airlines and original equipment manufacturers to improve services, and offer training solutions for every segment on the market. To address the current pilot shortage, we offer a pilot provisioning service to a range of airlines, and founded the CAE Global Academy, a groundbreaking alliance of flight training organizations.
Military Training and Services
CAE provides its military customers with turnkey training solutions as well as comprehensive training support services such as simulator instruction and maintenance at over 60 locations worldwide. We also provide a range of simulation-based professional services to support design, analysis, and experimentation applications. Our military training centres provide comprehensive flight and maintenance training in Tampa (U.S.) for operators of the C-130H Hercules aircraft; at RAF Benson (U.K.), home to our Medium Support Helicopter Aircrew Training Facility (MSHAFT), for operators of CH-47 Chinook, EH101 Merlin, and Puma helicopters; and in Sesto Calende (Italy), home to the Rotorsim training centre, for operators of AgustaWestland helicopters, including the A109 and AW139. We are part of an industry consortium that will open three training centres in Germany in late 2008 to offer helicopter training for the NH90.
