Modelling and Simulation (M&S) Boot Camp – An Introductory Course
Presented by CAE Professional Services
Delivered in collaboration and partnership with
Cranfield University,
Defence Academy of the United Kingdom
Course Description:
The M&S Boot Camp is a three-day, introductory-level view into the realm of modelling, simulation, and synthetic environments, designed primarily for project and requirements managers, as well as engineers and scientists who are not familiar with this area of study. The course will cover a broad spectrum of subjects: everything from fundamental concepts and terminology, to specific technologies such as real-time image generation and distributed simulation. These specific focus areas will be placed into context through relevant discussions on overarching areas such as interoperability, experimentation, and through-life management. Upon completion of the course, attendees will have the knowledge necessary to begin exploring the “art of the possible” within the realm of M&S, and the potential benefits it can bring to a variety of application areas.
Specific topics include:
- M&S fundamentals
- Real-time image generation
- Verification and validation
- Intelligent systems
- Serious games / Low cost simulation
- Distributed simulation
- Interoperability
Who should attend:
- Project managers
- Requirements managers
- Engineers and scientists new to modelling and simulation.
