The CAE Brunei Multi-Purpose Training Centre situated in Brunei Darussalam is a joint venture between CAE and the Government of Brunei. The centre has been operational since 2014 and is now recognized as a world-class training facility, staffed and operated by Bruneians. It is one of the region's largest helicopter simulator training facilities offering turnkey training solutions for the Sikorsky S-92 and S-70i Black Hawk helicopters. The MPTC also offers training for the fixed-wing Pilatus PC-7 training aircraft. The CAE Brunei MPTC has also established an Emergency Management and Crisis Management Centre of Excellence that provides relevant local authorities such as Brunei’s Ministry of Home Affairs and National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) with comprehensive training designed to better plan and prepare for emergencies. CAE and the American Heart Association are also establishing a network of International Training Sites to deliver lifesaving American Heart Association courses in countries that are currently underserved, and the first authorized American Heart Association International Training Site to be operated by CAE Healthcare will be within the CAE Brunei MPTC.
The Acibadem University's Centre of Advanced Simulation Education (CASE) in Istanbul, Turkey was established in 2013 and is recognized as a CAE Healthcare centre of excellence for simulation-based healthcare training. Together with the Acibadem hospitals group, CAE Healthcare and its distributor, Bertas, designed and delivered a turnkey simulation centre solution, from planning and design through to the implementation stage. CASE offers high quality education for doctors, nurses, paramedics, and technicians with a mission to improve healthcare education and patient safety throughout the region.
In a partnership with the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in Sao Paulo, Brazil, CAE built a turnkey medical simulation centre inside its existing aviation training centre. We train over 4 000 healthcare professionals in the region each year and we leverage best practices from aviation to offer best-in-class training to help improve patient safety and outcomes.
CAE Healthcare designed and delivered a turnkey healthcare simulation training centre in Turkmenistan to advance medical education in pre- and post-graduate medicine, nursing and paramedic education. The centre was built in cooperation with public entities and private contractors, and was the first of its kind to offer multi-disciplinary medical simulation training in Turkmenistan. The new educational centre was designed and built through an agreement with Gap Insaat and the Turkmenistan Ministry of Health, with CAE Healthcare acting as subcontractor of Gap Insaat for the Ilim Bilim Merkezi simulation centre. The seven-story building houses a research centre on three floors and the CAE Healthcare simulation training centre on four of the floors. The hands-on training centre includes simulated emergency and intensive care rooms, operating rooms, standardized patient examination rooms, nursing laboratories, wet and dry laboratories for surgical education, a debriefing area and an ambulance bay.
CAE Healthcare has partnered with Université de Montréal's Faculty of Medicine to establish and operate a healthcare simulation training centre, which is called the Centre d'apprentissage des attitudes et habiletés cliniques (CAAHC). CAE is operating the training centre, providing instructional services, developing technology and educational tools, and providing programs related to medical simulation.
