CAE TRAX Academy – Pilot Training Continuum
Learn, Practice, Perform– At I/ITSEC 2019, CAE will be launching the CAE TRAX Academy, a training continuum that delivers faster, better pilot throughput while supporting the student pilot journey as they learn how to fly. From first exposure to a training task and the tools supporting progressive understanding and practice to the successful execution of maneuvers, the demonstration will highlight the integration of courseware, technologies and innovation to provide a cohesive and experiential learning continuum for the accelerated acquisition of knowledge and skills – all done at the student’s own pace. Using state-of-the-art media such as a mobile app, high-fidelity cross-platform courseware and virtual reality (VR)-enhanced modules, students Learn the training procedure. Next, students Practice the procedure in the interactive CAE Sprint virtual reality trainer with physical controls, a virtual coach and CAE Rise performance assessment to develop transferrable skills and master the maneuver. The final stage of the student’s journey allows them to Perform the training learned in the previous stages by demonstrating their proficiency in a “check ride” on a high-fidelity T-6C flight training device.
