• Learjet 31 aircraft training program added to long-term ATP agreement

  • Learjet 60 aircraft training program in Dallas to also transition to CAE

Bombardier and CAE today announced that they are continuing to expand their Authorized Training Provider (ATP) agreement with the addition of Learjet 31 and Learjet 60 aircraft Full-Flight Simulators (FFS) to CAE’s training offering in Dallas, Texas.

Bombardier’s long-term ATP agreements with CAE now encompass training for Learjet 31, Learjet 40, Learjet 40 XR, Learjet 45, Learjet 45 XR, Learjet 60, Learjet 60 XR, Challenger 300, Challenger 604, Challenger 605, Global 5000, Global Express and Global Express XRS business jets.

The two simulators, currently located in Dallas and operated by Bombardier, will stay in Dallas and seamlessly transition to CAE in the second half of 2012. CAE will then provide flight training for
Learjet 31 and Learjet 60 aircraft under the long-term ATP agreement established with Bombardier.

“Following this transition, customers will benefit from access to top-quality training on the Learjet 31 and Learjet 60 aircraft with CAE as well as on the Learjet 60 XR aircraft with Bombardier – all in the same city,” said Leon Botteron, General Manager, Bombardier Aircraft Training. “We will continue to work together to ensure our customers have the easiest possible access to world-class training.”

"The Bombardier and CAE team is dedicated to providing a premier level of customer service and the highest quality training from check-in to checkride," said Jeff Roberts, Group President, Civil Simulation Products, Training and Services, CAE. “Our close working relationship and long-term ATP agreement enable us to continuously refine training programs so our business aircraft pilots and maintenance technician clients can enhance the safety and efficiency of their operations every day.”

Training for Bombardier operators is available through classroom-based courses and Level D full-flight simulators at Bombardier aircraft training facilities in Dallas, Texas and Montréal, Québec as well as CAE facilities located in Dallas, Texas; New York City (Morristown, New Jersey); Mexico City (Toluca, Mexico); London (Burgess Hill, UK); Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Dubai, UAE (through Emirates-CAE Flight Training). Training for Global 5000, Global Express and Global Express XRS aircraft has also been announced for Asia in early 2013 at a location to be determined.
