The leader in E-8C Flight and Mission Crew Training

CAE USA, following the acquisition of the former L3 Link Simulation and Training business, provides training systems instruction to U.S. Air Force flight and mission crews operating the service’s E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) airborne battle management, command and control, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) platform.

The E-8C JSTARS aircrew and mission training includes:

  • Initial, upgrade and continuation E-8C Flight Crew Training (FCT) with academic classroom instruction and simulator training for pilots, combat systems operators and flight engineers, supporting all phases of flight
  • E-8C Mission Crew Training (MCT) which combines academic classroom and simulator instruction for 13 mission crew positions, ranging from Air Force Mission Crew Commander and Army Deputy Mission Crew Commander to intelligence, radar and communications technicians
  • E-8C MCT simulation-based training replicates all phases of an actual combat mission
