CAE is the prime contractor as the Operational Training Systems Provider (OTSP) to integrate and support operational aircrew training solutions for the tactical airlift aircraft (CC-130J) and medium-to-heavy lift helicopters (CH-147). 

CAE also delivered a comprehensive CC-130J maintenance training solution at the Air Mobility Training Centre (AMTC) in Trenton.

CAE is developing a CAE 3000 Series helicopter simulator that will feature cockpits for both the Bell 412EPI and Bell 429 helicopters for the Canadian Coast Guard. The CAE 3000 Series helicopter simulator features CAE's revolutionary roll-on/roll-off cockpit design, which enables cockpits representing various helicopter types to be used in the full-flight simulator. The Canadian Coast Guard, which is part of Canada's Department of Fisheries and Oceans, has acquired cockpits for both the Bell 412EPI and Bell 429 helicopters, which are used by the Canadian Coast Guard for maritime security and other fisheries activities. 

We have a wealth of systems integration experience, such as providing electronic warfare capabilities to the Canadian Army.

For the past 30 years, we have provided systems engineering, integrated logistics support (ILS) and data management for the CF-18 fleet. CAE has achieved the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 5 certification for its team supporting the CF-18 fleet. This is highest quality standard possible for software engineering and we are one of the few organizations in Canada to be Level 5 certified.

We are delivering the Integrated Information Environment (IIE) for Canada's new CH-148 Cyclone maritime helicopter, which is another example of our in-service support capabilities.

Investing to enhance training systems integration capabilities and further support the Canadian Forces

Since October, 2015 CAE has been the prime contractor responsible for the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC)  program that produces qualified military pilots for defence customers. This acquisition significantly enhanced CAE's core capabilities as a training systems integrator (TSI), and expanded our offering into support for live flying training of future military pilots, including next-generation fighter pilots, for the Royal Canadian Air Force and its allies. CAE operates the NFTC program out of 15 Wing Moose Jaw and 4 Wing Cold Lake, and the program is designed and delivered in cooperation with the Government of Canada. The program combines basic, advanced, and lead-in fighter training as part of the comprehensive pilot training program. CAE operates the NFTC base facilities, delivers the ground-school classroom and simulator training, and supports the live flying training included in this world-class turnkey training system.
