CAE’s UAS Mission Trainer is platform-agnostic and is an ideal system for ab-initio training, RPA fundamentals, basic flight operation, basic payload operation, mission planning, and mission rehearsal. The UAS Mission Trainer leverages the Open Geospatial Consortium Common Database (OGC CDB) architecture, commercial-off-the-shelf hardware, and high-fidelity simulation software making this trainer not subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Customers benefit from greater flexibility for networking, distributed mission training, and integration within a comprehensive training environment. The suite of trainers includes laptop/desktop solutions, portable trainers, and fixed-based trainers with integrated brief/debrief systems.
The simulation software includes:
- High-fidelity simulation independent of hardware configuration
- Open architecture to allow easy customization
- Not constrained by the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (Non-ITAR)
- Unclassified, vendor agnostic, and reconfigurable trainer
- Distributed mission operations
- Architecture/distributed interactive simulation (HLA/DIS)
- Support for the OGC CDB format with dynamic synthetic environment (DSE)
- Configurable Instructor-Operator-Station (IOS)
- Computer-Generated Forces (CGF) scenario editor
- Interfaces with various subsystems
- World-class purpose-built brief and debrief systems
