Machinery Control Room (MCR) Trainer

CAE’s MCR Trainer supports training for the safe operation of the main propulsion system, power generation equipment and auxiliary machinery, and if required, through a ship specific or generic Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS). It can also be networked to a Bridge Trainer for Crew Resource Management (CRM) between the Bridge and MCR personnel. The MCR Trainer allows assessment of operating equipment in normal mode and with injected malfunctions, reducing the risk of real-life errors at sea. The MCR Trainer utilizes commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment and can be reconfigured to represent different classes of ships using the same computer infrastructure, making a fleet wide fit much more economical.
