CAE’s Maritime Part-Task Trainers (PTTs) help fill the gap between classroom instruction and training on complete training systems. Maritime PTTs provided by CAE include Bridge, Operations Room / Combat Information Center and Machinery Control Room systems. The PTTs can be generic or customized for a particular ship. They can also be made reconfigurable to support training for different ship classes on a suite of systems using the same COTS computer infrastructure. Maritime PTTs help improve skills and reduce the time needed for team training in a full-scale training system. They also help enhance an individual’s skills without consuming precious operational hours on the actual ship and its systems.
