Today, CAE and the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CR) announced their plans to partner in advancing and modernizing Air Navigation Services (ANS) training across Europe. This new initiative will bring together CAE’s global leadership in aviation training and ANS CR’s trusted operational expertise and renowned training excellence through the Czech Aviation Navigation Institute’s (CANI), to create a scalable, future-ready training ecosystem.

“The aviation industry is in a period of rapid growth and evolving demands, creating opportunities to rethink training capacity and workforce development,” said Marie-Christine Cloutier, CAE’s Vice President, Performance, Strategy and Marketing. “By joining forces with ANS CR, we are leveraging the expertise of two industry leaders to shape a new and innovative approach to ANS training. Our objective is to modernize and enhance accessibility to essential training infrastructures by leveraging CAE's European network to support Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) across Europe and around the world.”

“At ANS CR, we see this partnership with CAE as a transformative step for air navigation training in Europe. By combining our operational know-how and the proven excellence of CANI with CAE’s global training leadership and advanced digital capabilities, we are creating a modern, scalable training ecosystem that will strengthen the readiness of air traffic controllers. This plan to partner reflects our commitment to innovation and to ensuring that European and international ANSPs have access to the highest quality training solutions for the challenges of today and tomorrow,” said Jan Klas, ANS CR CEO.

This initiative will address key industry challenges such as growing air traffic, evolving regulations, and workforce shortages, with a flexible training framework that uses advanced technology, regional training centres, and portable solutions.

With CANI’s dual EU and ICAO training alignment, this plan to partner is designed to be uniquely positioned to serve European customers while also supporting international partners seeking training within Europe. Integrating CANI’s methodologies with CAE’s advanced technologies, such as AI-driven adaptive learning and digital assessment, ANSPs will benefit from updated curricula, immersive training environments, and instructor development, creating a comprehensive ecosystem to enhance controller readiness and addressing the complexities of current and future airspace environments.
