CAE Sesto Calende

The training center is located within the Marchetti Training Academy in Sesto Calende, Italy. Established in 2003 and launched in 2006, Rotorsim was created to provide synthetic training solutions for AW109 Power and AW139 helicopter operators with CAE-built Roll on/Roll off Level D full-flight simulators. It has since expanded to include AW109 LUH, AW109N, AW189, and NH90 training. It also offers training on a CAE-built AW139 simulator at CAE’s North East Training Center in New York. With an impressive 98 percent availability, Rotorsim’s capability now includes five CAE Level D full-flight simulators in Sesto Calende. Rotorsim continues to expand and, in 2015, added the first-ever AW169 full-flight simulator to the Italian training center. A CAE 3000 Series AW189 simulator, designed specifically to support training for search-and-rescue operations, is now available for training.
