This FAA-accepted course of instruction is provided to familiarize students with the benefits of aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS) and to continue to raise awareness of potential safety issues. This SMS class will provide guidance material for the:
- Aviation manager
- Chief pilot
- Chief of maintenance
- Chief inspectors
- Quality managers
- Line supervisors
- Others within the corporate aircraft flight department, or
- Maintenance repair station environment for establishing and maintaining an effective safety management system within your organization
It will provide the basic framework for implementing and maintaining an organizational safety culture.
Merging safety management system principles with business practices is shown to be the single, most significant choice in support of aviation safety and making aviation maintenance organizations more profitable.
