About Ethiopian Airlines

Founded in 1946, Ethiopian Airlines is the flag carrier of Ethiopia. Headquartered at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, it serves 125 domestic and international destinations. 

It is Africa’s largest airline in passenger and fleet size as well as destinations served and is a member of the Star Alliance. 

Its fleet numbers over 100 aircraft and is made up of primarily Boing 737s, 757s, 767s, 777s and 787s. It also has several Airbus A350s and Bombardier Dash 8 Q400s.

About Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa is the capital and largest city of Ethiopia. Home to the African Union and the UN Economic Commission for Africa, it is considered the political capital of the African continent. 

Sitting at over 2,000 meters above sea level, the city features a sub-tropical highland climate, which gives it relatively consistent weather year-round, with temperatures averaging between 10 °C and 23 °C.
