Silk Way West Airlines is a cargo operation based in Baku, Azerbaijan, operating to over 30 destinations in Europe, Asia and North America. Founded in 2001, the airline operates a fleet of 10 Boeing 747-400 and 747-8 aircraft.

We currently have over 70 expat pilots on contract with the airline, which offers a commuting contract. 

Baku, known as the ‘City of Winds’ is the capital city of Azerbaijan, lying on the Caspian Sea in the Caucasus region. With a population of just over 2 million people, Baku is the largest city and the commercial centre of Azerbaijan. The city features a semi-arid climate with hot summers and cool winters and endures no heavy rainfall in any season.

The city has been home to many high profile international events in recent years including the Formula European Grand Prix, the European Games, the Islamic Solidarity Games, the Eurovision Song Contest and countless other sporting events. It is also set to host 4 matches of the UEFA Euro 2020 Championship.
