Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence (AACE), the joint venture between Air Asia and CAE, announced today it has reached another milestone since its inception in 2011 with the inauguration of a new A330 CAE 7000XR Series full-flight simulator (FFS). The new simulator is located at the AACE training centre in Glenmarie, Selangor, Malaysia and brings the total number of full-flight simulators at all AACE centres to 12.
The ceremony was officiated by Tony Fernandes, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia, and Nick Leontidis, CAE Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. It was also witnessed by dignitaries from the corporate partners and the public sector. This investment represents an important step in positioning AACE as a premier institution in aviation training within the region.
